Homemade Baked Banana Chips

I love Banana Chips! I noticed several recipes for Banana Chips on Pinterest. However, since these are baked instead of fried they have a chewy texture instead of a crunchy texture.  Your kids will probably like the texture - it will remind them of a fruit roll up.

You only need two ingredients - bananas and lemon juice. I used two bananas and one lemon. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze the juice into a small bowl.

Preheat your oven to 200 degrees. Thinly slice your bananas and spread them out on a baking sheet.

Make sure that none of the bananas are touching.  Then using a pastry brush - gently coat each banana slice with the lemon juice. Bake for 2 to 3 hours. After they have baked - let them sit out and hardened for a few hours.

I never stored these! They were gone before I could find a jar or tupperware container. They would be a fun addition to a trail mix or to decorate the top of a banana bread.
