Lollipop, Lollipop.......Lifesaver Lollipop
I made some Lifesaver lollipops. They are perfect for the month of May. You know. April showers bring May flowers. And May is the month we celebrate Mother's Day! These would be a really cute Mother's Day party favor.
Buy a couple of bags of the Lifesaver hard candies and some lollipop sticks. Unwrap all of the individually packed Lifesavers. Preheat your oven to 275 degrees and cover your cookie sheets with foil and place a piece of parchment paper over the foil.
I despise unwrapping each and every Lifesaver! It takes forever! And I am an impatient person.
Layout your flower design and place your cookie sheet in the oven for about six minutes.
Once the Lifesavers have melted - add the lollipop stick. Twist the stick so that it is covered by the melted candy. Once the lollipops have hardened you can peel them off the parchment paper and package them.
You can package the lollipops in little bags and tie them with ribbon. Or you can display them in a vase.
Oh - I just thought of something! These would be cute treats to pass out on May Day (May 1st).
