Spode Christmas Tree Ornaments

I found these little silver framed ornaments in my craft cabinet - I had eight little ornament frames from Crate and Barrel. The ornament price said $3.50 each but I am sure that I probably bought them at 75% off.

So I cut out the Spode Christmas Tree from a recipe card and popped it the frame.

I bought the recipe cards in the dollar section at Michael's.

The card is easy to cut out using the cardboard from the frame as a guide.

The best thing about this ornament is that it came in little boxes. So I wrapped the box in brown craft paper, tied with string and added a little spring of holly.

I think these came out really cute and will look fantastic on my homemade cookie platters for the neighborhood friends.

Spode Themed Ornaments

I made some ornaments last night with Noelle while we watched a Hallmark Channel Christmas movie.  Come January when the kids are back in school and the house is put back together I am going to start writing some Hallmark channel Christmas movies! For fun! Because I have been writing some Christmas and country/western songs and I have only been able to write the bridge.

I started a fun song - Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree with a Vacuum in my Hand....And now I need to write the rest of my song.

Okay - back to my ornaments. I collect the Christmas Tree Spode china. It is so festive and the most popular china pattern in the world! So I saw these Spode cupcake toppers at Michael's.

We removed the toothpick and used them for the middle of our ornament.

Then we taped the cupcake topper (minus the toothpick) onto a 2" circle and then onto a 3"scalloped circle. Taping a little piece of twine on the back to make the hanging loop.

To make the ornament "pop" we glued a circle of silver ball ribbon around the 2" circle.

Notes: I had a 30% off everything coupon. So I bought a bunch of Spode napkins, recipe cards, gift tags, etc. I might use a lot of these items in different ways throughout the holiday season. And when the light is right I will take some pictures of my Christmas Tree Spode china - it is truly beautiful.

Mad About Plaid

I love my Spode Christmas Tree China. I recently read somewhere that it is the most popular pattern in the world. Wow! Anyway nothing says Christmas to me like my Christmas Tree china. This year I used a plaid table cloth from Williams Sonoma and it looks wonderful with my Spode china.

Now aren't you mad for plaid? I usually use a Pottery Barn polka dot placemat with my Christmas tree china. But I am just loving this plaid.

Noelle wanted to make ornaments with a music theme for her choir friends at church. So we made some plaid little bell ornaments.

Isn't this cute? It was simple project. You will need:

Holiday themed cookie cutter
Cardboard
Pen
Scissors
Holiday themed wrapping paper
Little bells
Glue gun
Ribbon or string
Holiday sticker

First trace the bell shape onto a piece of cardboard and cut the shape out carefully with sharp scissors. Then trace the bell shape onto some holiday wrapping paper and glue the wrapping paper to the piece of cardboard. Then using a glue gun adhere the little bell and string loop.

Some of the ornaments have holiday flowers and some have little gingerbread men buttons.

These are perfect little ornaments to give to your choir friends. And every time a bell rings means that an Angel has received their wings.

We also wrapped some miniature Hershey bars with plaid wrapping paper and put them in little pretzel bags and tied them with a plaid ribbon for Noelle to give to her friends at work.

Hot Chocolate Bar (With my Spode Christmas Tree China)

I made a little Hot Chocolate tray. I used a lot of my Spode Christmas Tree china. Nothing says Christmas to me like the Spode Christmas Tree china. I love it! And I have a ton - I will show some more Spode - display ideas. So keep checking back if you love the Spode Chrismas Tree china.

The Spode mugs are on a huge Spode tray. I set out two types of coasters and put the peppermint chocolate stirrers in the canister. Behind the tray I have two jars filled with mini chocolate chips and marshmallows. Because what is hot cocoa without marshmallows?

In the big Christmas Tree cookie jar behind the tray is where I put the hot chocolate!

Isn't this cookie jar adorable? The teddy bear has a Spode Christmas Tree vest and is standing on a Spode Christmas Tree package. It is the perfect container for the hot chocolate packets.

Dining Room

I started setting up the dinning room, I collect Spode Christmas china and add new pieces every year.

Okay - you probably didn't notice but I recovered my dinning room chairs in polka dots. Then I found polka dot placemats and napkins at Pottery Barn.

I love the Spode Christmas tree - it is so beautiful. Plus nothing says Christmas to me like the Spode Christmas tree china.
