March Madness Treat
I simply wrapped some Hershey bars in basketball scrapbook paper. In the past I have also wrapped Kit Kat bars and the movie sized boxes of candy.
These are great snacks when watching the basketball game or fun basketball prizes. They are also a wonderful team treat!

Christian's Bedroom Redo! Which was Long Overdue!
I finally got around to redecorating Christian's room. I still need David to come over and add some crown moulding. But his arm is injured and he is unable to work right now. So I will show you the room redo without the crown moulding.
I had the room painted the same color that the playroom is painted. We bought a new bed, mattress and bedding. And I edited the accessories. Christian loves auto racing, basketball and baseball. So I reorganized his favorite basketball, baseball and auto racing accessories.
Todd started taking down the bunk beds before I could take a proper "before" picture.
Another "before" picture. Do you like the stickers on the top bunk bed rail?
We gave the baseball pinball game to one of Christian's friends little brother. When the little brother has been to our house he always played the baseball pinball game. I sold the baseball bedding at the neighborhood garage sale.
I am so bummed out that my husband started taking everything apart before I could get some good before pictures. But I think you get the idea - the room was painted baby blue with bunk beds and baseball themed quilts, pillows and accessories.
So here are the "new" pictures. I kept the dresser, bookcase and nightstand.
Over the bed we hung a big basketball net!
On top of the bookcase - a collection of Angel bobble heads.
The basketball hoop on the door to Christian's room.

Basketball Rice Crispy Treats For the Basketball Team
These were super simple to make because I used store bought Rice Crispy Treats. I was under a time crunch - so I simply did not have enough time to make the Rice Crispy Treats.
Remove the wrappers from the Rice Crispy Treats and set them out on apiece of parchment paper.
Using a rolling pin flatten out each Rice Crispy Treat and cut out the flattened treat with a round cookie cutter.
Melt the orange Wilton candy melts and spread the melted chocolate over the Rice Crispy Treat - then sprinkle with some orange sugar.
Melt some milk chocolate and put the melted chocolate into a small zipper bag. Twist the chocolate to one end and snip a very small hole. Pipe the basketball lines - the lines don't need to be perfect because the boys eat these in thirty seconds flat.

Basketball Treats for the Team
Each week I email the team parents - can anyone bring a small snack? So far only one other mom has helped out. So each week I have brought a small snack. Last week I wrapped Hershey bars with basketball scrapbook paper - I didn't post it because I did this in the past and I used the exact same scrapbook paper.
So I have been trying to use things that I already had - so I had these orange candy sticks left over from a Duck's Hockey Gift wrap. So I decided to add a basketball and make it the snack this week.
Using my big circle punch I quickly punched out large orange circles and made the lines with a black Sharpie. Then I taped the basketball onto the orange candy stick.
I bought the candy sticks at Party City - in the wedding section - they have every color of the rainbow. I think these would also make cute party favors or March Madness treats.
I made basketballs - but you could easily make soccer balls, tennis balls, baseballs etc.

Basketball Treats for the Team
I made some basketball treats for Christian's basketball team. We love basketball at our house. Christian loves the Lakers. Unfortunately they lost last night by 31 points. Ouch! However, I wanted to tell you that these treats would also make cute party favors if you are going to host an NBA playoff party.
For this project you will need:
Large bag of cheese balls
3 x 5 " bags
Scrapbook paper
Stapler
Labels
Individually packaged "Wet Wipes"
Tape
Directions:
Fill the cheese balls 2/3 of the way to the top of the plastic bag. I bought a huge tub of cheddar cheese balls at Target. Don't they look like little basketballs? Then cut a little piece of scrapbook paper and fold it in half. Staple the scrapbook paper onto the top of the plastic bag.
Then make a little label. I decided to write "swoosh" on my labels.
I just quickly wrote the labels because - we were going out and I didn't have enough time to reset the printer. It just took a minute to handwrite 10 labels.
On the back of each cheese ball bag - I taped an individually packaged wash and dry. Cheese balls coat your fingers with orange powder!
In addition to the cheese ball bags - I bought each of the boys a tube of Gatorade Energy Chews.
I hope these treats ideas inspire you to make some fun treats for your child's team! Leave me a comment if you have any questions. And I will love you forever if you sign up to be a follower.

NBA Sign On Bonus Treat Bags! For the Basketball Team
I just put some chocolate money in a plastic bag and added an orange tag from scrapbook paper and label that reads You are Awesome, Here is your NBA SIgn on Bonus.
But you could make this for any sport - just by changing the label.
I bought the plastic bag and scrapbook paper at Michael's. The chocolate money is from Cost Plus World Market.
They have chocolate dollar bills!

A Basketball Tree
I made a basketball tree for my son today! I think it turned out really cute!
I bought the tree at Ralph's yesterday when I was grocery shopping.
It originally looked like this! I covered the holiday foil with basketball scrapbook paper and took off the ornaments and put basketball ornaments and stickers on the tree.
I bought the basketball ornaments at Michael's in the dollar section.
I also added a bunch of basketball stickers to the branches. They have all sorts of sports ornaments. Make your son or daughter a sports themed tree for their room! If you are really crafty they have little baseball, soccer and basketball beads and you can string a garland.
I am short on time but I might make a basketball garland sometime next week.

Basketball Treats
I made some treats for the basketball team. Popcorn with team colors and some basketball m&m and Reeses pieces tubes.
I put the popcorn bags in a basketball basket.
Our team colors are blue and orange - so I sorted through some bags of m&m's and pulled out the blue and orange and added them to the pre-made popcorn I bought at Trader Joe's.
I usually make my own popcorn with chocolate drizzle. Put I knew I was going to be pressed for time so I bought a few bags of this Kettle Corn.
Once I mixed the Kettle Corn and m&m's - I put a handful of the mixture into little bags. Tied them with an orange ribbon and put them in a basket. So easy!
I also made some m&m and Reese's pieces tubes. I made some with the brown m&m's left over from the popcorn project and the rest with orange and brown Reese's pieces.
The basketball on the top is from a piece of scrapbook paper - I just cut out a few basketballs and taped them to the top of the tube.
These would also make great party favors and you could adapt them to any sport or team color!

Basketball Rocks!
This Sunday my son's basketball team has a double header. So I decided I had to bring some treats. My son is going into 7th grade - but his teammates are going into 8th and 9th grade. So I asked my husband (he was no help) and my son and daughter what I should bring!
So it was eventually decided that I would bring Pop Rocks and Rolo cigars.
I make these Pop Rock treats for baseball, Bible study and various parties. Kids and adults love Pop Rocks!
I always tape a little tag onto the Pop Rocks!
I also made my Rolo cigars - that I always make for sports and birthday parties. I put them in a Kate Spade box that I got when I bought a wallet! Using brown wrapping and craft paper wrap the Rolo's so that the gold ends are showing and add a sticker that corresponds to your event! So easy and fun!
I hope the boys like them! And if you need to order pop rocks click on the picture below!

Laker Basketball Gift Wrap
I wrapped a Laker themed baby gift in Laker themed wrapping paper. Using yellow wrapping paper with some yellow and purple ribbon - screams "Lakers." But I also added some basketball beads on the ends of the thin ribbon and added some foam basketballs that I had left over from other craft projects.
Here is a photo of the Laker themed baby gift inside. What Laker fan wouldn't love this baby gift?

Basketball Cupcakes
This is my last basketball post for a while! Sunday was my son Christian's last day of basketball until next year! I made basketball cupcakes for the team party.
I just made some white cupcakes from a box mix. I super stretched for time! Then I frosted them with white frosting from a can. I was beyond exhausted when I made these cupcakes. Please don't judge!
I poured orange sugar into an oversize Tupperware bowl.
Then press the cupcake into the orange sugar.
Once I dipped all the cupcakes into the orange sugar - I left them blank because my son's team played in the championship game. If they won I was going to pipe #1 on the cupcakes. Sadly we did not win - but they came in second out of eleven teams and that is still really great.
So I came home from the game and quickly melted some milk chocolate and placed it in a zipper top bag and twisted the chocolate so that it was down at the bottom and snipped a small corner off and quickly piped the basketball lines on the cupcakes.

I piped twenty-four cupcakes in less then two minutes.
These would be a great treat for the team or your March Madness party. Everyone loves cupcakes.
