Homemade Cranberry Sauce

This is a really easy recipe. I make it every Thanksgiving.  This recipe could be made a few days in advance.

Ingredients:

1 12-ounce bag fresh cranberries
1 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
zest and juice from 1 orange
zest and juice from 1 lemon

Give the cranberries a rinse in a colander. Add the cranberries, water, sugar, fruit zest and juice to a stockpot and simmer for 20 minutes.

The cranberries will start to pop and the sauce will thicken.

Once the sauce is your desired consistency - pour it into a Tupperware container and place it in the refrigerator to chill.  On Thanksgiving I will put my Cranberry Sauce in a lovely serving bowl.
